This is a shot I took this past weekend about 1/8 mile from my house. I've been complaining b/c every morning that there is mist on the bayou, I have to go to work. :( Finally, on Saturday, the mist returned and I was able to shoot a few frames. This was shot on Provia but I think I think I shot similar frames on Fuji Acros. I am anxious to compare the differences between this and "real" b/w film.

Any suggestions, advice, reposts appreciated.

Canon Elan7e, 100-400, Provia.

[Oops, this was shot on Reala. Just trying it out.]

This is very neat. Great placement of the tree on top. I also like the reflections showing thru the fog/mist.

Neat image. What kind of light did you have to work with? I'm imagining the color version of the image with golden tones in the mist.

I like this a lot. I love the shadows behind the tree. I keep trying to figure out what's there. I would be inclined to crop a little bit off of the bottom to make it look less long but it might just be my getting used to 4x5 format rather than 24x36 format.

Jenny, very unusual and intriguing! :D I had to study it for awhile to sort out the tree on top of mist and reflections that looked like clouds. I'll bet this would be great as a huge print.

Love it Jenny. The mist has an incredible sense of movement to it.

Jenny,

There is great mystique here that I like! You have used the fog very well. Dramatic composition too which complements it well!

The backlit tree just emerging from shadow is a great juxtaposition for the fog in the rest of the picture. The reflections peeking out add some nice layeres within the FG too.
