This is a repost of an image I shot last Spring shortly after I started shooting 4x5. I've just gotten a new scan of it with an Imacon scanner. The large sea stack in the center was too dark and I had a lot of trouble getting detail in it. Hopefully this new scan has helped here.

I remember this one, Dan. The new scan is definitely better. I love the wealth of detail in the fg rocks :)

Dan,

What a difference a scan makes. This is much better.

Dan,

I think you did a good job bringing out some detail in the sea stack. I like this a lot. Good comp and DOF.

A haunting image, Dan. I really love how the little rocks in the foreground allow the eyes to leap from one to the other till they can rest on the giant rock in the midground. The misty look of the water is also very well captured. Wow!
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

For those of you not familiar with Dan's work, this image is classic Dan Baumbach - just excellent.

Sweet light, lots of detail, great composition with the smaller rocks leading out to the large one!
