Coconino N.F., near Flagstaff, AZ

I was driving when I saw this rainbow and fortunately nobody was near me as whipped off the road as fast as I could. I grabbed camera, lens and tripod and set up in a hurry before the rainbow disapeared.

Great shot. Lovely composition! Might crop a slight but of the OOF grass in the FG.

A simple composition with lots of impact. The colours of the grass provide a very nice complement to the rest of the scene. I'm also for cropping some of the foreground OOF grass.

cheers,
Eric

This is beautiful - I love the soft colors. I agree with the fg crop...in fact, I think that a crop to a square (oof fg to just above the dark object, and upper "rainbowless" part both removed) would be terrific. It would look a lot like one of Charlie Waite's compositions IMO!

I love the shot and I absolutely loved Flagstaff when I visited this past spring. I like it with the suggested crop also!

Wonderful image. I think that it might be improved slightly by cropping some of the plain blue sky from the top
