This is the waterfall just below Swiftcurrent Lake in the Many Glacier area. This was my last evening in Glacier and the smoke was really thick. the sun was shining thru the smoke causing this yellow color. The famous Grinnell Point is just barely visible in the upper right.

It appears that the bedding of the rocks is tilted - which probably makes the picture feel more tilted than it is. But looking at the direction the water is falling, it seems a little rotation CCW would even things out -but looking at the trees, I'm not so sure anymore...

This is just smoke? Looks like a colored gel filter. I really like the layers and the sense of depth - the haze really contributes to my interest in this photo. I like it.

I'm pretty sure it was level? At least the bubble level said so. I think I'll probably rotate it back sometime.

No filters used on this.

My first impression was that it is tilted, but like Matt said I'm not so sure now that I've looked at it a bit more. Anyway, lovely colours. That is quite a bit of smoke!

Nice shot Ken. Amazingly different than it looked a couple of weeks earlier. ( http://www.fatrobin.com/images/SWIFTCUR3665.jpg )

I wondered how it looked there in the smoke.

Thanks Jim. I was hoping you'd see this and post your shot.

This is pretty much a spot on match with the tranny too.

Nice light. I'd like to see a little crop off of the left so that bottom of the stream is closer to the left edge.

I really like the rich earth tones here and the hint of the mountain in the BG. The tilt looks like a natural part of the terrain to me. The only small nit I have is the cut off tree ULC. I'd clone that or both trees out.

I was hanging around G-T-S Road that same evening...the light was eerie and red, but not as intense as what you've got here. You must have been really close to the fires!

Wow, that's terrific light. I'd even consider cropping everything but the waterfall ... very eerie.
