This ones for Dan, for all his help and inspiration this past year. Thanks pal :D

Trees in fog, Corecreek park, langhorne P.a.

Comments appreciated, practicing my dodge and burn skills along with some duotone conversions. Please hammer away!! Curious on the dodgeing of the right side, would you burn that in or leave it as is?

Thanks much,
robert........... 8)

Hi Robert, Nicely done. I want to crop this hard from the left but that eliminates the foggy trees...

Hey Robert,

This is excellent .. really a great image to just sit and look at .. I love all the work you've done .. the layers here are gorgeous. And yes, it's VERY Dan Creighton-esque . a good thing, for sure.

The light layer that runs diagonally, and across between the 2 trees is sublime. The tone you've done what looks like a fence behind the trees is great too .. I really, REALLY like this shot.

I'd really enjoy seeing the original, just to see how much 'stuff' you put in here .. but I don't sya that to take anything away from it .. it's killer man!

Cheers

Carl

Wow, this is great! I'm just getting into landscapes so I'm clueless as to what you've done. It would be cool to see the original (if you're willing). This is very moody, I like it a lot.

Robert!

Very nice! I'm not even sure if to call this a typical Creighton or a typical Hasty anymore... Very nice!

Hey thanks everyone, heres the original per request.

Anders, im positive Dan would have come up with something completely different if he'd been there  Lets just call it typical

Thanks again all,
robert........

Another superb atmospheric shot with trees. I also like the original a great deal but the b&w version is better - the use of the alternating black and white bands on the foreground adds nicely to the sense of recession and balance nicely with the background trees.

cheers,
Eric

Hey Robert,

Thanks for posting the original ..a fine shot in its own right.

I can see now the horizon which I took to be a fence (largely due to how level it is). The interplay between light and shadow here is too cool.

Great composition.

Cheers

Robert...both versions are nice, but I much prefer the b&w. Excellent! One thing you might consider is to crop off the right side, leaving the left as a square. I like it even better that way :)

Robert,

To answer your question on dodging...I would not dodge it anymore. I like the subtle hint of light on the ground. Makes it all the more mysterious.

The lower horizon on this image works a bit better than the previous one I looked at. Nice work.
