Hi gang,

Many people have likened this shot of mine taken last fall at a nearby pond to an impressionist painting. Any thoughts?

Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

Yup, I can see a resemblance. Awesome colors and light.

Great light and a great shot and yes it does resemble a pinting.

Quite reminiscent of Monet, no doubt.

This is a very pleasing image.

Superb image! Abstract, busy - yet pleasing for the eye. The blues seems a bit artifical for a photograph (?), but otherwise I really like this! Imagine this as a HUGE print!

I'd say it's sharper and a bit more saturated. Still a work of art in its own right.

The large version is very cool. Where was this taken?

Mahesh, very much like an impressionist painting, and a painting that I'd like too!

This is very creative and extremely beautiful. Is the blue a result of Velvia? It certainly works here, but I was just curious.

Mahesh,

First saw this at work on an entirely uncalibrated monitor... Wasn't all that excited. Back here at home the colors truly make it sing! Very nice!

Outstanding, and definitely has an impressionist quality.
