I came back with a series of images from Beaver Bay during my trip to Minnesota's North Shore (Lake Superior) in July. I'll post a selection over the next several days. Weather varied wildly during the several shooting sessions at Beaver Bay; here, there was a constant drizzle amid much fog and wind. Camera, bag, film, and I were soaking wet in short order, but everything managed to dry out OK by the next day.

This is one of my favorites from those. I love the wave in the FG.

Excellent shot that conveys the weather of the Northern Great Lakes very well.

Nice line of the wave leading into the horizon.

Love this one Danny. The wave gives it great energy, the texture in the glistening rocks is super and the gentle pastels of the trees and misty horizon all combine to give this one a great sense of place and time. Weather is almost always worth the hassle.

This feels COLD! :) Nicely done. The scattered bits of red in the rocks makes it even more interetsing.

Danny,

With those red rocks, this shot looks like a hand colored B&W. Almost everything else is close to monochrome except the red rocks and green trees. Very nice effect for a straight shot. The rocks intrigue me from a geological perspective too!

Nice one Danny! Really like the mystery of this one with the shore leading me into the mist in the distance. I'm not sure about the shutterspeed in relation to the wave... got mixed fellings about it.
