I like it. I especially like the unique style of it, the fact that it says "Robert Hasty" to me when I see it. You've arrived at the place where you are working on your personal style instead of just making technically capable images.

At this point, I'm just waiting to see which direction you choose to go with your photography. Neat stuff!

Hmm...different and intriguing...almost wholly composed of color. I like it, although I'd like to see the tree less centered. Depending on the surrounding color, might it have been interesting to place this tree more to the LR, using a shorter lens, and fill the rest of the frame with a gradation of soft colors?

Robert,

I definitely like it. Very special colors... I assume it was glowing in the morning rays and you pumped up the saturation a bit further? Hue change?

Your fog images are overall very, very good IMO. Could this one be further improved? My first reaction was to wish for a bit more room above the tree... I don't know. It is very good as is too.

Actually, this wasnt adjusted much at all, in fact i desaturated it a bit. No hue changes, just first sunrays shining through creating the color you see. A slight crop all 4 sides, usm, touch of contrast and thats it. Looks very close to right off the camera.

Thanks for the info. Even more amazing then... desature to get this...!
Given that you cropped it at the top, I would probably add just a tiny bit back there...

Just my 2 cents,

Anders

It's not my favorite of yours. It is a unique image though. Others here seem to like it. Listen to them and ignore me.

The very bright orange is a little tough on my eyes.
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

I like it a lot and love the monotoneness. The only negative is the sharpening/JPEG artifacts at the top of the tree.

This is, as has been said, very unusual. But if I'd never seen your others in the series, I'm not sure I'd like this one. It works for me as part of a group of similar/ related images, but all by itself it's not that strong.

Pretty cool Robert - you are doing some great things with fog and trees man! Every morning I get and hopefully look out the window (for fog that is - the trees are still there of course).

cheers,
Eric

I think this is pretty neat. I agree with the comment to add a touch back to the top, if possible.
