I've had virtually no time for online stuff lately, and have missed hanging around here! Now that I'm starting to catch up, I'll take a moment to post one of my images from my trip to Minnesota's North Shore last July. This is one of several waterfalls on the Beaver River, which empties into Beaver Bay, about an hour north of Duluth. I've been making a point of looking for vertical panoramas lately, in part simply because they're quite unusual. It's not easy to find a subject that works well in this format, but when one does, it can be very interesting!

Very interesting crop - one that really focusses you in on the water.

Really like the muddy look to the "white" water, Danny

Thanks for the replies so far!

I should mention that this frame isn't cropped...it was originally shot in the panoramic format that you see here.

Danny, this is a really wonderful shot. The vertical pano works great. I tend to get a little bored with waterfall shots and nearly skipped this one. I am glad I didn't. How cool does this look hanging on a wall?

This works very well in this format. I've seen attempts like this before but none of them have worked as well as this. Good job.

Very interesting composition and textures. I don't care for the brown water myself and might be tempted by a b/w treatment here.
