Canon D30, 50mm

Ok, so I haven't been to the southwest to shoot...yet. This is the closest I've been - from 25K feet up. lol.

Flying from TX to CA, I woke up somewhere over AZ or NV, grabbed my camera from under the seat and snagged a shot.

This is very nice! I took an early morning flight for a business trip down to San Diego just a week ago or so, and saw a very similar sight when the sun rose above the mountains. Unfortunately I didn't bring a camera...

What great lighting and a simply superb shot...the layers take it over the top.
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.
