Shot this a couple weeks back, comments are welcome and appreciated. Posted this at PM and had alot of differing opinions on the composition. Some would have liked it cropped from the top about 1/4th the way down, some liked it as is FF. Your thoughts?

Thanks much,
robert..........

Very interesting...kind of looks like a watercolor. I like it as is. The crop idea has merit, IMO, but after an extensive comparison, I think I prefer it full frame. Nicely done.

Again, a nice one from you Robert. You have been "creating" some great work here lately!! :)

Any info handy or idea of how long of a exposure with this shot?
Just curious.

Robert, this is a striking effect! Personally, I like a slight crop off the top as the stark black makes it feel topheavy to my eye. Like the frame is tipping toward me, which distracts me from enjoying the image... if that makes any sense? Love the softness -- was this via filter during the capture process or some "after effect?"

Nice shot, Rob...the light areas creeping up to the trees and a bit unnatural looking.
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

Robert, you're really cooking with that 10D!

I like this one a lot - nice placement of the trees, and very moody.

This works really well for me Robert - I love trees and fog and you've taken superb advantage of them here. I think you can crop some from the top or not - really depends on whether you prefer fatter or skinnier aspect ratios. I have one small nit: there is some kind of funky posterization (visible banding) going on in the dark areas of the tree (looks like some kind of post processing induced thing).

Neat feelings from this. painterly and it draws you. I like the full shot better than the crop, but I thought it would be interesting as a crop just at the level of the leaves. What a change in feeling that gives.

Thanks everyone, sorry i forgot to mention that the weird "funky" looking spots are actually from me breathing on the lense for a little extra affect. They disappear if i take the contrast down a notch.

Thanks again,
robert............

I might be tempted to crop a bit off the top as it seems to my eyes to be a bit top heavy and I'd like the mist just a bit less centered.

I like this, but I like it even more with your presuggested crop. To me, the blackness up top seems too powerful in comparison to the subtleness below.
