biologist's post made me think of some of my lucky images. I had resigned myself to shooting mostly monochromatic shots since the coast was all foggy when suddenly the sun dropped below the fog and showed a beautiful pink.

I shot a whole roll on this before the sun finally set.

Nikon F5
80-200 f/2.8 AFS + 1.4x TCE
Effect focal length 280mm
Velvia.

Welcome Dan! I always struggle with what to do in these situations too but have found that often these non-ideal conditions make for some excellent images as is the case here.

I think I need to pull out some of my "lucky" images, though I don't have any as interesting as these. Welcome to the site.

Cheers

My mouth literally opened when I saw the image! Love the misty colors and the rock formations. This has a wonderful mood to it, and I love images with mood.

I really like the mood that this image invokes. Peaceful, quiet, but yet very powerfull side of nature.

Excellent.
