This is one of those time when you just luck out. i was heading up to Monument Valley and while driving up there it started to snow.

:lol:

Needless to say I satyed around the next day as well after the snow ended.

Stunning shot. I believe that luck plays a great part in nature photography. You can do so much and then you have to rely on nature gives you.

However it's the skill of the photographer that is able to make something with luck.

Welcom to NS! A very nice photo of one of my favorite places. The coldness of the snow offset by a desert sunrise makes for an excellent paradox. My only suggestion for improvement would be to rotate the image clockwise slightly.

I'm a believer that luck only happens to the prepared. In your case, it looks like you saw something develop, pulled out your gear and got the image at the critical moment. Great job.

Great shot. This is one of those shots where it's hard to guage the scale. The foliage in the middleground could be trees or it could be scrub.
