This is the merging of two images, one for the bg and one with the egret.
Filters were applied to the bg on its own, then the bird was added and color applied with a soft brush to add some interest :D

Nice one gal! Love the comp and especially the colors in this one. Well done all around.
If there were just one thing I would wish for in this piece, would be for the edges of the clouds to be a little more blurred, as it seems to be to hard of an edge while the bird is softer.
Still, ...................... nice art work!!
