Beautiful play of light against the dark and secret forest. A world of magic. The large view shows it very well indeed.
Make your life spectacular!

Love this, making it a 4x5 by cropping from the left makes it even more compelling.

Beautiful image, Mary, almost fairy like interplay between soft light and shadows.
Interesting to see you've tried the single shot PSD approach - I find it easier and more convenient than the in camera method.
Have a good WE,

Thanks again to the editors for choosing this image of mine, from the bottom of my heart.

Thanks E.J. for your suggestion :) always precious and highly appreciated.
I had tried a square size to remove some of the tree on the left which did not convince me completely,
but I did not like it since the tree in the center did not have enough breath,
but I had not considered a cut from 4x5.
I tried and liked it as it removes some of the tree on the left but still gives the sapling some breathing room. Thanks!

Thanks for your compliments Swissblad, yes I wanted to try the Orton approach in PSD
for those shots maybe not immediately designed for this technique but which could still find some benefit
by emphasizing the atmosphere or some detail.
To tell the truth, however, I think that doing this technique directly with the shots taken in the camera
has an extra gear, I don't know, maybe it's just my impression :)

You do terrific work with your Orton effects. I can see why it is such an appealing effect for your images. I agree with EJ's comments and your subsequent crop. Works very well.
