Well done, Joel! This is exciting, they way you have shown a sense of motion, especially in the crest. The eye looks great-and I really like the background colors and textures. I would love to see this with the whole bird too, but this definitely works as well. Very dynamic and lively.

A great abstract presentation of the Pileated Woodpecker, Joel. Love the color in the background and crest treatment. Overall, a very fine abstract image. Well done!
