Quite a different mood from the "Valentine" effort.  Truth was, there was a storm coming in, hence the Flamingoes hunkering up, so processed today to reflect that.

Hope all well.  Please feel free to view uncompressed.

That's a top notch beauty.  I like the whole mood but I especially like the distinct eye contact from about 5 of the birds that indicates to me that they may be hunkering down, but also want to be aware of their surroundings. Really a beautiful mood reflected by your processing treatment that gives this a wonderful feel of a watercolor painting.

The treatment provides a wonderful painterly appearance which is enhanced by the pastel colors. The bright red eyes certainly grab your attention and draw you into the lovely image. Another wonderful piece, Dave! Beautifully done!

Wow - I love the flamingo pics and treatment. Reminds me of beautiful wall paper from the 1920’s. Very vintage!

Well said! I was thinking something similar but couldn't find the words. This is an amazing work of art! The colors and textures are just superb, as well as the composition, and of course, those eyes. You've done it again Dave.  Hats off and all. :)

Very nice this shot and how you decided to process it, it reminds me a bit of the atmospheres portrayed in Impressionist paintings.

I love the colour tones you get in these 'paintings' Dave - this one is a real beauty!  Its funny you said a storm was brewing, because not only is a storm coming, when I look at this, I see the flamingoes as clouds floating on a dark, brooding sky. :)
