Following on this theme.  Taken in Nakuru NP.  Mum is taking her youngster in tow, as Black Rhino's do.  (Being browsers, the young follow, whereas the White Rhino's being grazers let the young go ahead...)

Please feel free to view uncompressed. Thank you for looking and hope all safe.

I'm trying to think of a famous artist this reminds me of- the name escapes me, but really, your artwork is just getting better and better. The background on this one looks like a wall fresco-the landscape almost stands alone, but the rhinos do tell the story. I wonder if they are a little too realistic-they could be softened just a little, maybe? Not sure about the black shadow around the little one's face. That said, I just love the trees and grasses-very impressionistic.

Dave, your technique of treating the surroundings but maintaining detail in your subjects produces another very fine image. Also, I learned some very interesting information about rhinos. Keep up the great work! :)

You really are on a roll with these wonderful artworks, Dave, and this is another beauty. I was trying to think what the style reminds me of, and Cindy has hit the nail on the head with her suggestion of a wall fresco. Beautifully done!

Another wonderful artwork! I love the contrasts so much and the lights so pleasantly warm.

A real beauty Dave.  The EP is well deserved as  your latest technique works very well and turns your images into an interesting art form. Love the background in this one.

One question on this specific one.  On you others the vignette I felt worked extremely well (example: the enchanted forest with the owl, and your lioness image) where on this one, for whatever the reason, I feel that the vignette on the lower corners may constrict the movement of the rhino's.  Maybe it's because your other images were static and this one portrays movement.  Just a thought.
