I'm aware there are those who do not care for "Neon Light" style images, but humor me with this one, please. This American White Pelican is out for a night on the town!!! 8) I photographed the pelican from my boat then converted the image into its present state with Topaz Glow and Photoshop. The image really needs to be viewed with a dark background, so please click on the image to see it that way. I hope it puts a smile on your face. Thank you.

OK....I'll humor you ! It's a very unique image that brings me back to disco days (or nights) with this flashy look. Very well done for what it is you were attempting to achieve. Terrific digital art with wonderful color and great lines.

Definitely looks ready for his night on the town! Love that you left the eye natural. Also like that the treatment of the water and the pelican are different. Great job!

Nicely done Ron. Brought a big smile... Like the lots of differing treatment but mostly the smile for it's vibrance and energy! Looks like it came from a good original too. Thanks for the smile.

Hot!!! Electric pelican- I like it!! (I'm usually one of "those" you mentioned above, but this one really tickles my fancy. Love the water and reflection too. Above and beyond the usual. Big smile. :)

Thank you for the nice comments, everyone. I really enjoy the humorous aspect of this image. Recently, I was honored to learn that this image was selected for inclusion in the Top 250 of the North American Nature Photography Association's (NANPA's) 2021 Showcase competition in the Altered Reality category. :)

I'm not normally a fan of many of the Fractalius style images for nature subjects, as you well know, Ron.  HOWEVER, your crazy, rainbow coloured, disco style electrified Pelican is an absolute delight!  I really do love what you've done here, and yes, it does make me smile!  Brilliant work.

Congratulations on your recognition by NANPA for this wonderful artwork.  So well deserved!  :D

Carol.

Wow! This image is really impressive! A psychedelic pelican in perfect 80's style!
I really like the very bright effect of the white feathers.
