Beautifully done, Diana! I really like the close view , showing the wonderful patterns in the peacocks feathers, and the blue head and and neck- so expressive. This looks like a wood block print to me with the dark outlines. Wonderful work of art!

The treatment you used very much accentuates the feather detail and color in the image. Reminds me of the use of Topaz Simplify. Beautifully done!

Since I don't use special apps for this type of treatment I won't guess what may have been used. Mt only comment is that whatever app you used was perfect for the this peacock image. Really a wonderfully impactful shot.

Thanks so much for all of your nice comments. This is new to me as well. It really is quite fun. I am using Topaz Studio. What seems to work best for me is to find the filters with the effect I like and put each in a separate layer. Then I play with the layers, different combinations and different opacities until I get the overall effect that seems to work with the photo. Sometimes nothing seems right and I just toss the image, other times they seem to work.

I smiled when I saw this one, as I have some virtually identical peafowl images. While you did a great job with the conversion, like you I found that when converting these beautiful birds to art, it is very difficult to maintain their high degree of magnificent iridescence that is so spectacular especially on their wonderful electric blue plumage!
