A wonderful study in shapes and design, Diana-I like how you've placed this in the frame. The snow adds a lot to the mood, as does the Gentoo's folded up posture. The orange beak is just the right contrast too- well done!

A beautiful portrait, very well detailed and very well composed, a beautiful attitude so collected.

A very artistic and almost abstract appearing image. I like the monochrome presentation excepting the bit of red on the eye and bill. The square crop works well. Very beautiful and creative work, Diana!

A striking study in black and white with the orange beak accent.  Well done!  What makes the design for me is the matching curve lines of beak and wing front edge, and although I like your crop as posted, I also see an alternative by trimming off the right side in a straight line down from the 'e' of Rebman.  This highlights the beak and wing edge curves perfectly for my taste.
