Excellent work, Dave! The composition, placement and head turn are superb! Nice texture throughout, and I'm pleased you left detail in the face of the owl. You nailed the background – love the texture and the highlighting of the precipitation in the sky! :)

Really an incredible portrait and image, wonderful pose of the Barn Owl
and the lights that create a special atmosphere. All inserted in a gorgeous composition. Great shot!

Thank you Ron and Mary.

BTY Happy Birthday Mary.

PS.  I had some help with the image.  Lady gaga kicked in with Always Remember Us This way, from A star is Born.    Loren Allred also helped with Never enough, but neither have answered my phone calls... LOL!!!!

+1.  I think Ron summed up my feelings very well.  My one additional comment is that the original shot must be a top notch image as well.

Beautiful original image!  I love the pose and wing position, and your treatment has made the owl almost translucent with the light glowing through the outstretched wings.  Looks like you are keeping busy with your creative ideas during lockdown, Dave.  :)

I hope you are all staying safe and well.

Carol.

Sooo beautiful Dave- I love the purple background , giving the owl a cosmic feel, as if it could navigate outer space, or the starry skies. The light on the owl is also magical...maybe moonlight?
