Sweet takeoff shot, Jeff! Great textures throughout the image, and I really like the way you maintained the detail in heron's head. Very nicely done!

I really like this, Jeff. Wonderful textures and colors. The burnt edges give it nice definition and a feeling of motion. It has the feel of a block print, or perhaps a torn paper creation. Well done!

My only nit is that I find the background lines a little overpowering, but I love the colours.  The heron is captured beautifully and your treatment of it makes me think of Japanese art - and I love the effect.  If only the background could be softened a touch this could be a really stunning artwork, Jeff.  I hope you don't mind me speaking honestly, and its my personal opinion - only my two pennies worth.
