Dave, your technique beautifully emphasizes the detail in this portrait of the youngster. I love the black and white conversion — plenty of gray tones. And the pose and composition could not be better. Another beautiful deer image for your portfolio! :D

A lovely transition, Dave-a beautiful pose to begin with. I like the eye and nose kept intact. B&W works very well here.

Brilliant! A very compelling rendition of young 'spike'. I love the sketch/drawing feel to this one, and the finished article is beautiful. I Love it, Dave.

Thank you all very much.  The deer in late autumn have the "just got out of the shower look", so their fur is quite clumped/streaked.  Was necessary to use a program within Topaz Glow that retained that.  thank you Editors for the EP.  Am honoured and appreciate very much.  thank you.

So cool!
What I really like about the last series of images is that you still retain the pose/look of the original image.
Congrats on the EP

+1  I also like the mysterious background. The B&W conversion came out great. Congrats on the Editor's Pick.
