Spotted this on the drive to my son's house and stopped for a few minutes.

A wonderful autumn scene, Malcolm. Striking color palette, and the converging lines of the road provide a nice feeling of depth. Love the painterly appearance, particularly the way you handled the trees and the leaves on the ground. You are on a roll — this is fabulous.

What a perfect autumn scene- so rich in color and just the right texture for the trees, leaves and corn field. Composition is also just spot on. Glorious!!

It certainly is!  What a feast for the eyes and senses, Malcolm.  Photography and art become one in the most glorious way.  Absolutely stunning.

You have been exemplifying what the difference is between a snapshot and a finely crafted photograph! It is obvious that you take your time and select subject matter and shooting angles, along with light. Your B&W tree, posted recently, is another fine example of this process. Anybody can snap a shutter on a scene, but to make it art takes a special eye and effort, along with timing to get the light right. Well done.

top drawer Malcolm. Your Autumn scenes, however they are presented all retain such warmth and emotions and have an essence of magic to them.

Thank you all once again, your comments are really appreciated. This image as with Autumn Leaves has been in my head for years. I've been watching this location for about a year hoping that all the elements would come together and give me a chance to create this image. The other day I got lucky and got to spend 5 min watching this scene change as the sun burned off the morning mist and getting one frame with the light I liked. Thanks again.
