Shot recently. It was dark overcast and reflection in the water was awful. The whole mood was dark. To preserve the dark mood I toned down the ugly background with B&W. I am never shy to experiment with new settings.
D2Hs, 500mm f/4 P ED IF +TC-16A
1/250, ISO-500,  f/9, on tripod.

Interesting treatment- not sure what I think of the B&W treatment. Has an eerie look to it. Experimenting is always welcome, but perhaps this belongs in P&DA....

You have to click on this one to fully appreciate it - and Yes, it does belong in P&DA, Ludo.  I like the effect you created, and it has a nice high shine look!  :)

The black and white holds the background in check, and I like how you retained the color of the duck. Very creative work, Ludo.
