I had this bucket of barn pole spikes in a storage building for years with the intention of photographing the random pattern that they took on by themselves. I finally decided to do it when the storage building got a bit of flooding this summer and I discovered that the plastic bucket was rotten and about to bust. The galvanizing gives the spikes a crusty look and adds to the character of the rough texture and industrial look.
