Bee on Cosmos Super-crop

Another sleeping bee on a Cosmos from my garden. This is a super-crop (approximately 1/4 of full frame) from a RAW image taken with a Samsung S8 and processed in LR. Cropping is necessary because a close-up at this size in frame would not have the DOF at a fixed 1.7 f-stop.

Clever way to gain depth of field, Joe. There is good detail in the bee, and it appears sharp as well. Again, the use of complimentary color really brings your image to life. Nicely done!

Pretty amazing what you're doing here Joe. Good detail-a nice close-up! As a composition, I think I like your black-background work a bit better.
