Indeed, the torment on the bear's face says it all. I would love to know the story of how the bear ended up perched on this log in the water. Love the reflection and how you capitalized on it with the pano vertical format. Also, the high-key treatment works beautifully and adds dramatic contrast to the scene. Such an original and creative image, Carol.

Very expressive subject and like the way you balance both high and low key factors here, like the composition with rippled reflection too....amazing work to see!!

Yes, the bear was perched high on its log but there was no water, I made that up by adding the flood and reflection to the original frame.  It was the bear's anguished expression that made me want to add some other element to the scene.  He was actually watching a low flying pigeon which had taken off nearby and startled him.  :D

Thank you, Carol. You did a great job of creating this image. It is interesting to know how it was done. :D

This cracks me up, Carol!! Sort of like getting put in the corner for bad behavior. What a pathetic look (or so it seems). Very clever to put him out in the water! As usual, your imaginative creation is just delightful. :) :) :)

The look on this Sun bear/Honey bear's face is trying to tell a story. He does have the look of guilt. Nice job with the water and reflection.
