Pintail duck photographed at Bosque del Apache NWR. Processed in PS CS6 and Topaz Impression II. Decreased saturation, then boosted the highlights in the shoreline vegetation. Hand painted the head in the reflection and some vegetation. Please click on image to view full size. Thank you.

Such a handsome species and beautifully portrayed here Ron. I love the complementary colour palette and the dreamy feel to this peaceful scene.

I like the soft look and mood to this Ron. To me it shows how soft and delicate this bird is (or all birds for that matter) while hinting at the toughness and showing an innocent creature trying to carve out a living in the world. Nice one!

Carol, the "dreamy feel" you describe is my favorite aspect of this image. Thank you for commenting.

Thank you for your input, Andre. The "misty feel" you describe, similar to the "Dreamy feel" that Carol mentioned, is the feeling I was working towards, so your comment is greatly appreciated.

Love it, Ron- it's all about mood and harmony- everything speaks of tranquility and softness, so well done with that misty dreamy appearance, (as has been noted.) In this sometimes chaotic world of hurricanes and such, this picture gives me hope and comfort.

Reminds me of a foggy morning at Bosque. Nice job on the reflection of the head.
