This rare visitor came to our area this spring. I just started to play with it, wanting less background, and ended up here-Topaz adjust, selective blur, color adjustments....

The triangle you captured (two yellow eyes and the yellow beak) is the essence of the image to me, particularly since this is predominately a black and white image, and those features are the only other color (yellow) in the scene. The eyes are simply killer, Cindy!  As usual, your artistic talent has come into play with beautiful rendering of the textures and blurs. But those eyes grabbed me, and they won't let go. Excellent work! :D

Got to love that incredible 'look' - so compelling!  I love your subtle toning which stops this being too starkly black and white - just perfect for me and just perfect for the beautiful soft plumage of this gorgeous owl.  :)

exccellent image cindy!
the final result makes the owl really pop out !
the black and white texture is working fine.
i might have added extra sharpness to the eyes ;-)

very nice indeed .

Love the bright eyes and B+W treatment.
For this delicate, gorgeous owl, I find the dark lines and heavy and stark stripes a bit overpowering.
Still, a very nice image.
