The highlight of our trip to Scotland was getting to know the european Gannet - what an impressive bird - 200cm wingspan and dives of ≈ 100kmh - spectacular.
Difficult to capture the grace elegance and power of such a dive - this collage is an attempt.
Thanks for any feedback, C&C. Large view

Image made with Nikon D5 and Nikkor 200-500mm.

Thanks John - appreciated - still need to work at my technique though - some areas of the image look a bit dodgy.
Have a great WE, S.

Moved to P & DA because of the post shutter manipulation to create the collage - and nicely done too, Sinuhe!   I think you have showcased the iconic Gannet dive very well.  :)

Beautiful collage - I like how the bottom Gannet is preparing to enter the water with wings back.

Thanks all for the kind comments, and transfer to appropriate section.

Witnessing these birds close at hand was an incredible experience.

Great sequence- really enjoy seeing the different wing positions and the final dive.

Thanks Cynthia - it's over in a flash - I have countless frames with only the final splash.
Glad this sequence worked out.
