Topaz Impression, NIK, PhotoShop CC.  From the original photo. On images like this, I find that I leave the eye/eyes alone, and only treat them to the filters about 20%. If you don't do this, the eyes can get to "weirded out" and lose too much detail for my tastes.

Such a beautiful painting! Love the noticeable brush strokes and texture in the image. Wonderful lighting, particularly in the way it touches the landscape and the coat of the moose. The eye looks very natural and appropriate; and the water dripping from the moose's mouth is a bonus. I would speculate that you have (or will have) this printed on canvas in your gallery. Handsome, artistic work, Mark!

Gorgeous treatment Mark- beautiful light, the eye is perfect- everything about this is so harmonious and pleasing. I especially like the texture in the sky. One of your best, I think. Definitely a wall-hanger!

Thank you, and yes, it is printed (and acrylic painted over it as well to make a one of a kind hand painted original) on canvas 18"x24". Very sharp original, and I know it would go out to 36"x48" with no problem.  :)

Thanks Cynthia - and, yes, it's already a "wall hanger"!  :)

That's a wonderful thing to do, Mark- painting over this on canvas-a true composite of your work.

Gorgeous light on this beauty Mark!  Love the angle and pose with the iconic dewlap and drool.  :)   Beautifully painted and I'm sure this makes a fine print!

Here's the original Des, albeit in compressed jpeg form and small - original is tack sharp and prints well on canvas in the larger sizes.
