Striking abstract, Rachel. The shapes are really interesting and work well together, as do the strong contrasts. Tell us more about this? Would love to know what the source was, and what you did with it. Beautiful, dramatic work!

Rachel, what fun this one is, and a great title to go with it.  This is reminiscent of reflection on water and makes me wonder if it was a very happy accident or if you did some special manipulation - either way, it's brilliant!  For me, I see two people having a lively conversation and love the deconstructed abstraction and placement of the eyes and the wild positive/negative shapes of mouth - reminding me of Picasso.  The watery fluidity of lines, along with the bold contrast is really nice, enjoyed very much :).

Lynn and Cynthia
thank you for your kind words
truth be told I have been mesmerized for days by the amazing patterns I saw in the reflections off my dock at our summer cottage in Muskoka Canada. The subject is actually 2 chairs  sitting on the dock and the patterns you saw are created by   the ripples in the water. I processed it in Lightroom by converting to black and white and then playing with the blacks and whites and highlight  sliders. I shot about 300 frames in a matter of a few minutes because no 2 frames are alike.  It took me a long time to sift through them all to  finally choose the 8 that I really liked...
