Well, the extra thought and effort you put into this one was worth it. The blossom, in particular, is much improved, and being able to see all of the green leaves helps anchor and balance the composition. The frame is also much more effective. Beautiful work, Sandy!

Art is so subjective, and in all honesty I prefer your original work Sandy. This version doesn't quite fall one way or the other, its like a work of two halves, whereas the original makes a statement and sticks to it - and that is why I like it. Wouldn't life be so dull if we all liked the same thing! Just my 2 pennies worth.

Interesting changes- kind of ethereal-not sure which one I prefer at this point. I think I agree with Carol for the most part.

While I like this effect I find it better on the stems and leaves. The stamens, to my eye, blend in too much with the flower petals. That said, I can see why many will like this image a lot. the dark BG and flower colors are striking.
