David, haha, I hope you're thinking of my favorite painter, the one with the problem ear ... because you nailed it!  This is a wow creation - wonderful subject with fantastic hypnotic stare and just the right amount of exciting, colorful abstraction incorporated in the surrounds.  Excellent choice of "paint" colors and "thickness" applied - love it!

Nailed identity of painter in one Lynn.  Thanks for the kind words on the image.

Whoa! Definitely hypnotic!! What a wonderful choice to create this mesmerizing fox-love how everything else makes me a little dizzy too. The whiskers kinda tickle! ;). Altogether just a delightful creation that's got me smiling for the day! Love it!

Very creative! I like the filter everywhere but the eyes. The swirling there makes me a little dizzy! :-)
I'd like to see the original eyes selected out, then the filter applied everywhere else.

Dave, this is definitely done in the style of Van Gogh, and it is absolutely superb! My hats off to you, brilliant work! I love everything about it, and would not change a thing! Congrats on a fine image. :)

I have to be honest, this isn't a filter that I can quite get my head round for wildlife images, maybe I'm just more inclined towards more realism for our furry friends, or maybe my dinosaur ancestry isn't that far removed from the present.

You know I love your work Dave, and I love the inquisitive pose you caught here, such classic fox behaviour!  but I'll have to stay quiet on the treatment of this one.

A fun image to be sure. David, just be sure to keep both of your ears!! However, I do have to agree with Carol in that my "old guy" tastes lean toward more realism.
