Beautiful painting, Cindy!  I love the "spill" or slight overflow of various paint strokes in the image. Definitely gives the painterly appearance to your image. The composition, design, and color all look great. The additional brightness and contrast you have added to this version makes it significantly better in my view. Now this beauty sings! :D

You are welcome, Cindy. The boost in brightness allows the beauty of your hand painted brush strokes to be revealed. Fantastic!  :)

The extra 'lift' of this brighter version really does the trick Cindy! These are such lovely and distinctive flowers that they deserve to shine, although I do appreciate they are woodland blooms and love the shady areas.

Thanks, Carol and Ron. Do you have these in England, Carol? They are fairly rare here and very shy. ;). This one is gone- it got "graded" by the road crew...

I honestly don't know if they grow wild over here, but they are grown in gardens and woodland areas in some parks and private gardens.  They really are beautiful, but the powers that be are very protective of our native wild woodland bluebells etc., so probably discourage other species.  :)

Hi Carol

Oh, how I wish we had bluebells here!

A lot of wildflowers are sold from special nurseries here. But these grow wild here and we have lots of the more common red ones. It is a joy to find them in the spring.
