I have really enjoyed creating mandalas.  Saturday was the first day I actually photographed flowers in the wild to create.

This was created using a technique I use from You Tube and combining it with Liquify Filter in Photoshop.

Hope you have a wonderful 4th of July!

Absolutely delightful, Kathy- makes me smile to see it-love the delicate flowers looking like they are spinning around. Much nicer than a firecracker! ;). Happy 4th to you too.

The blossoms you selected for this piece are lovely, and the overall symmetry is close to perfect. The design, which I feel implies motion, is great. The small buds in each flower cluster, for example, appear to be whipped around during the overall twirl of the center blossom. Very creative and beautiful work, Kathy.

Very pretty and delicate with the swirling motion of the tiny flowers and fronds.  It would be interesting to see how these look with different background colours other than the classic black for varying effect. :)
