hello there.
been away for a while now, working duties ....

nice to see the digital forum is getting busier then before :-) :-)

and quite a lot of interesting images here....

this is a 3x mag of a dragonfly, just after hatching , so quite cooperative.

nikon d810 / sb 910 / nikon el50mm inverted on a rare nikon pb3 bellows i have, quite small and light , handholding.

multiple fractralius , viveza and cs6 adjustments.
this image is part of a postery exhibition where i am showing 10 posters, canson canvas. ( metacrilate would also work here, but too expensive).

the 90 x 60 cm canson canvas looks quite interesting :-)
hope to sell it

image is a bit colourful, but hope you enjoy it.
please click for larger version.

regards to all here,
andre.

Welcome back! And what a return- an amazing creation- so colorful and engaging- makes a wonderful abstract. Love hearing how you did this as well. Congratulations on your show- good luck with sales. This surely belongs on a very big wall!

Fantastic high magnification photography, and a striking abstract image. Love the bold color, texture, and design. The eyes are simply mind blowing. Beautiful work, Andre, and congratulations on your ten poster exhibition.  :)

thanks cynthia and ron!
apreciate your comments!

tranforming insects into pop art imagery is a lot of fun...

i am also discovering that families including mothers with young children that would never stop to look to a regular insect image will stop to see a pop art dragonfly for example, and will maybe acquire some kind of intrest on theese tiny creatures ( maybe so, i hope )
so an educational side effect  happens in some cases .....

plus three posters have paid my new 14-24mm nikkor lens :-) :-) :-)

regards
andre

thanks jeff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the impact to digital art is to not show the original image ;-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

i would admit that the flash lighting in the original image is not so pleasing to my taste....

kind regards ;-) !

Very beautiful and certainly unique.
And I certainly agree with you that "the impact to digital art is to not show the original image ;-) "
I will occasionally post the original, but prefer to let the viewer's imagination wander!

Sandy
