Magnolia Blossom

I have really enjoyed shooting the Magnolia Blossoms this year.  After the drought ended here in Florida they perked right up after the rains and there were more blossoms than we have had before.

This is one of my favorite  because although it might be funky you still see the blossom. 

pp: Photoshop Filter Liquify.  I found it very challenging to use this because if you slow down the process it is not the same......started over quite a few times.....

Yes! A big smile! It's wonderful how you preserved the "flower-ness" while creating something entirely different. Took it for a whirl, so to speak ;), and very well done. It's just exhubertant-love it.

The colorful sphere on the black background really has a lot of impact - beautiful. Like Cindy, I'm impressed that you were able to maintain the "flower-ness" of this Magnolia in an almost abstract image. The touch of red is the perfect place for the viewer to enter this image and explore its engaging content. Very nicely done!
