Topaz glow, Topaz Impression-2 different applications....lots of other tweaks, some photoshop brushwork...I forget the rest! But I thought the female should have her day. She was found around a nearby beaver pond, and I suspect she is nesting there.

Nikon D500, Tamron 150-600, f/7.1, iso 1250 @ 1/2500.

Wow, this is first-rate, Cindy! I love the way the bird is framed with backlight, vegetation and then again through vignette. Lovely painterly textures throughout, and the bird is gorgeous - fantail, catchlight and all. However, it's the lovely soft lighting behind and around the bird that makes the image for me. Simply beautiful - one to be proud of!!!

Often, images of the female come across as quite harsh to my eye, but this is so beautifully done that you have really showcased her in all her soft beauty. The lighting is perfect, while the angle and pose couldn't be sweeter.

So much more than just a tweet on a twig, beloved of the crowd....... the surrounding delicate twigs and leaves frame her beautifully and the image overall is an absolute delight!
