These Sandhill Cranes were originally photographed in one of the Crane Ponds at Bosque del Apache NWR, New Mexico. I spent quite a bit of time converting the image to an abstract in Photoshop CS6 and Topaz Glow II. I realize this is not everyone's cup of tea, but creating abstract images like this inspires me. It needs to be seen in shadowbox, so please click on the image to view it. Thank you.

Over the top, Ron! Love it. I am fond of abstracts and this one really works-just enough "birdiness" left to pretty much identify the subject, but it could also work as purely abstract. Great colors and beautifully designed.

Wow, this is great! Love the basic outlines of the cranes, leaving just enough to the imagination. The dark BG sets this off perfectly.
Just stunning!

The interplay between light and dark suits this Ron. Easily enough shape and detail to identify they are birds, with the colours and shapes providing masses of fantasy and interest.

Cracking shot Ron! A Beaut!

Thanks to each of you for your comments and insights. I greatly appreciate it. I thought it might be of interest to show the image from which this was created, just a jpeg created from the raw file. Thanks again!
