This is essentially a black and white image except for the striking touch of breeding color around the eye - very cool. Compositionally, the "S" Curve is very attractive, and I agree that the dark background enhances the primary image. I'm always fascinated by the results achievable with Fractalius. Very nicely done.

As has been mentioned, striking contrasts, with the very colorful face and beak further emphasized. I like the way you've framed this to bring out the curve of the neck. Using Fractalius shows the shapes of the feathers, adding nicely to the flow, carrying the eye around the neck and head. Well done!
