The image is a close-up image of an Allium flower. The center is the focal point thus rendering the surrounding portions of the flower out of focus. A few tweaks here and there and we have the results.

Spectacular, James! What a great, imaginative piece- colors are brilliant, and I really like how this bursts forth with such energy. Definitely a wall-hanger! And, incidentally, just in time for the beginning of spring.

You selected the perfect title for this dynamic image. The Fourth of July means fireworks, and that is exactly what I see when viewing this geometric abstract you have created. As Cindy noted, the colors are brilliant, and that along with the geometric design makes it successful. Very creative and original work.

Thank you Cynthia and Ron for your comments. This is fun flower to work with and your options are only limited to your vision. Looking forward to some spring weather but must wait for the snow cover to melt.
