Red Lechwe running from Lions across the flood plains in the Okavango Delta, Botswana.

A beautiful hot and sunny day with the blue sky reflected in the water to give a rich colour palette.

Happy memories of an amazing trip, and something to take away from a cold and wet day in England!

Please clck for a better view.

In it's own right a cracking shot Carol. The placement, lines of colour, and splashes all gel. Adding the treatment takes it up many levels and suits it perfectly. A real joy to view

What a wonderful wildlife image, Carol. I love the implied motion and pose of the lechwe with all four feet in midair and a turbulence of disturbed water behind. This surely tells the story well: this lechwe is running for its life! The striking blues in the water blend beautifully with grasses, and the brown grass near water's edge mimics perfectly the warm tones in the lechwe. This blend of color provides a lovely backdrop for the chase. The fine texture you applied appears like canvas, and is the perfect artistic compliment to this beautiful image. Terrific work, Carol.

Nice! Works well on canvas. I like the action and the alternate blue green lines in this shot.

Thank you all for your kind and constructive comments, and yes, I do like the simplicity of the canvas texture for wildlife images such as this one.

Gorgeous colors and action Carol. Your choice of texture is perfect- does not obscure the beautiful original, but gives this a painterly look. The splashes come out beautifully too. You are an amazing wildlife photographer, and always present something tasteful in P&DA to complement your work!
