this is a newborn dragonfly, photographed at night.
nikon d800 / nikon pb3 bellows / reversed nikon 50mm enlarger lens / sb800/ handheld
3x magnification.
fractalius suite program, multiple effects.
cs6 adjustments.

I don't know how you ever found this and made such an amazing photo of it- what a wonderful "face", if that's what it is. :). Love the colors and textures-bordering on the abstract. If you hadn't told us, I might have guessed any number of things, like some sort of monkey face. :). fun!

Andre, nice work with the macro gear to pull this off.  The detail is very good and fractalius emphasizes it. The color and texture are a plus. I find a smaller, smiling face within the confines of this dragonfly head - very cool. I would think you might make this a poster? Good job!

actually its doable when freezing action with flash ! i shot abut 15 images and kept two, the rest went to the bin.... 
with natural light and tripod it would be a whole different story ;-)
