This was first processed with Topaz "Impression", then I followed a tutorial on http://www.photoshopessentials.com/phot ... shop-snow/

to create artificial snow. Not sure it is totally convincing, but I had fun with it.

I like this "Impression" a lot. The software is so much fun to us.

Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful job with Impression, Cindy!  The Chickadee is perfect for the winter snow treatment.  The fact that the angle of the Chickadee and the angle of the snow are the same makes the image for me.  Striking effect!  Beautiful color and texture throughout.  The link on creating the snow is quite informative, and I plan on giving this it a try.  :)

Thanks Ron and Mark- I was so pleased to find this "snow" software with a random search. They have "rain" and quite a few other fun things-apparently all free, though you can pay for a PDF too.

Love the snow and overall look. My only suggestion would be to tone down the catchlight just a bit so that it doesn't look like the sun is shining brightly.

Good catch ;) , Joe- makes a lot of sense.  The background isn't very wintry either, but I kind of thought "fall snow-shower", which we do get here.

This is a beauty Cindy!  The fluffy little chickadee is the perfect subject for the cold, cold snow treatment.  Lovely colour tones and effects - and for me the light in the eye is just fine.

I can see I've been away too long, and its great to see your work again.   8)
