Impressive mobile phone shot! Love the mysterious mood and the blue light. Great to see some bats too- they are scarce here now. Very imaginative!

Very cool. We don't always need all this expensive, gear, right? The photographer makes the shot, not the gear.

Very evocative and moody image. It could be a scene out of movie. I like it's simplicity of composition.

If it is just a mobile phone shot, then how did you get a fast enough shutter speed to freeze the motion of the bats' wings?

If there is more to it than "just a mobile phone shot", such as photo merging, multiple exposures, etc, then could you share all the details about how all of the processing was done?

Thanks!

Thanks!
another want to see more on this.   aka.  really low light levels and a few bats added which are crisp and sharp.  and on a mobile phone.

I'm going to try a different reply to this post which is quite offensive in my view to what NSN do.   the puzzling part is that even moderators have posted and I am personally puzzled by their response when it is clearly evident what is presented and claimed is not as such.

Personally I am very disappointed to this.   Tom and Swissblad, on this occasion I understand, agree and identify and appreciate your candour.

My comment was based on the assumption that the image was a composite. I'm not sure why you feel it is "offensive."

Very nice effect with the bats in flight in very low light! I, too, assume this is a composite!

Well, yes, of course it is a composite.

But, of course, we expect the OP to share the details of each of the images used in the composite. When the OP posted this image without sharing any of those details, then we had to specifically ask for them. And when we asked for the specific details of the images that were used in this composite, we received no answer from the OP.

He said that it is a mobile phone shot - and of course, I am very curious to know how he managed to freeze the motion of flying bats' wings with a cell phone camera. So I asked him. I would still like a reply from the OP about how he created this composite image.
