Just about finished for the day.  It was about 8:30pm in Utah. Looked to my right as I was putting equipment in car and WOW!  Sitting there in the golden grasses of the setting sun I saw this guy. Beautiful just sitting there watching us. I am not a deer authority so if you think my ID is wrong please let me know.

Observing and recording nature should always be done with awe and the knowledge that it is a privilege to just be there!

Maybe a Mule Deer...?
I like the watercolor effect, especially on the grasses.
Perhaps a slightly greater lightening of the face.
Really neat.

What a lovely vision- looking right at you. Like the high key effect and the texture in the grasses. Not sure of the breed either, but does not look like the deer in Vermont. ;). Yes, perhaps a bit more light on the face, but quite enchanting in any case.
