It is that time of year at Kenilworth Gardens D.C. This double bloom was processed in LR. The BG was already dark and made black with a mask. 5 bees were cloned out as well!

Nikon D810, 17-35mm @ 17mm, f 7.1, SS 1/250, ISO 200.

Surprized by the choice of lens - not usual for flower macro photography.
Nice colours and diffused light.
The blackground looks good, but sometimes a trace of detail is nice.

A lovely glowing creation- nice work cloning out the bees! The softness of the flower is very appealing. I might agree that the black is a very strong contrast, but it certainly makes the flower stand out. Such nice clarity all around as well!
